I'm trying to add this to Linux Mint 10 on a Sony Vaio PCG-71311MKinda poking about about in the dark really but so far I have discovered that as this uses Grub 2 I can't add it to menu.lst so i ran..$ sudo gedit /boot/grub/40_customadded "i8042.nopnp" minus quotessaved and closed $ sudo update-grubit whirred$ sudo gedit /boot/grub/grub.cfgjust to have a look expecting my edit to appear below### BEGIN /etc/grub.d/40_custom ###but there was no change...Would you be so kind as to tell mea. whether I'm on the right track simply trying to add the "i8042.nopnp" line as above to the grub.cfg file?b. anything else you think might help
